Construction Crew Member

Job Type

  • Full-time (40-60 hours per week)
  • No experience necessary, we will train you
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • No weekends
  • Skilled, manual labor

Pay

  • $16-20/hr
  • Overtime pay of time and a half

Job Description

The Construction Crew Member is the backbone of our organization. Our crews build decks and stairs allowing people to enjoy their waterfront properties.

Lakeshore Customs prefers to promote from within which presents an excellent growth opportunity to hard working individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

As part of the team, you will be responsible to the following:

  • Must be willing to work with hands
  • Work on scheduled projects
  • Assistance with inventory, equipment care and repairs, and job preparation
  • Willing to work overtime in busy seasons

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

We prefer individuals with the following training/experience:

  • Construction or Building Experience
  • Use of powered hand tools such as sawzall, circular saw, impact drill, etc.

 

While these skills are preferred, we are willing to train the right individuals.

A GREAT JOB FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS

RECENTLY GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL

High school graduates or soon to be high school graduates who do not want to go to college and want to enter the workforce

RESUME GAPS

Applicants with gaps in their resume or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more

LIMITED EXPERIENCE

Someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience or education

LIMITED EDUCATION

Open to applicants who do not have a college degree or diploma

REQUIREMENTS

  • Work alongside your team to lead by example
  • Ability to complete tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to follow basic directions
  • Ability to clearly communicate when issues arise
  • Willingness to function as part of a team
  • Must be willing to work in bad weather
  • Must have blue collar job experience
  • Valid driver’s license with low/no points
  • Reliable transportation to and from designated job location
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
  • Ability to utilize electronic devices such as a smart phone, tablet, and computer
  • Ability to drive and safely operate heavy duty pickup truck with enclosed trailer
  • Ability to navigate based on GPS or printed map
