Shifting Dunes

Life on a Lake Michigan bluff means the dune never stays the same for long, so this family needed beach access that could keep up. We installed an aluminum stairway that runs straight from their deck, through the trees, and right down to the sand, and it can be adjusted as the dune shifts over time. However the shoreline changes, the way down to the water stays open.
