Dune Crest
The deck was rebuilt in the exact same footprint, and a dune crest deck was added to create a more functional space for watching the sunset.
The original structure was outdated and failing. The new homeowners were looking for a low-maintenance product that wouldn’t require attention during the few weekends they spend at the property. They also wanted a safe, easy, and comfortable finish for their renters to enjoy throughout the year.
The PVC decking suits this cottage well, as barefoot kids, adults, and pets spend countless hours in this space.
Careful consideration was given to the temperature of the deck. An intentional design was brought to life to create a structure that will last for many years. Access from multiple points on the property strategically directs traffic and prevents congestion when hosting large gatherings. The dry space/underdecking provides the homeowners with a comfortable area to relax and enjoy the scenery during inclement weather, all while staying protected from the elements.
